Newswatch
has observed a short-code of a sort trending on Facebook for the past one month.
Investigations by our news team however has revealed that the said code is the birth-date of a Catholic priest in the Archdioceses of Accra.
The priest,
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obeng Codjoe who has a huge following on Facebook, marks
another milestone in his life with an additional year as a gift from God. The celebration
falls on Tuesday 31st October and also
serves as the icing on the cake for his 5th Priestly Ordination Anniversary.
His
personality as a priest has made him the toast of many people, Catholics and
non Catholics alike. Fr. Cross, as he is affectionately called is the Parochial
administrator of the St. Dominic Catholic Church, Taifa. He is also the Public
Relations officer for the National Union of Ghana Diocesan Priests' Association.
On September 26, Fr. Cross gave his all time best friend, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Duku a
facebook live coverage as he marked his birth anniversary. Newswatch understands that the teaming fans of Fr.
Cross have had series of meetings planning how to celebrate the day.
Many
describe him as someone who loves God deeply and his love for God is
manifested in his simplicity and humble service and availability to others. A pastor and priest after God's heart.
It is
unclear how the day will turn out to be but without any doubt, Newswatch can
confirm an overwhelming celebration for the young priest.

It was his
gentle azonto that caught my attention the first time I saw him. Then I encountered
his annointed side. Isn't it ironical and kind of paradoxical that he who loves
to celebrate others shy away from being celebrated? Fr. Teresa Cross, this is
just a warm up. TCC31.10.17 - Maxima Missodey.
We want to be the first to wish this fine priest a happy birthday. We love you Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obeng Codjoe.
