Goodwill messages continue to pour in for Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obeng Codjoe of the Archdiocese of Accra as he marks his birthday today.
As at midday of October 31, hundreds of goodwill messages had flooded his wall on facebook.
Many have described him as a humble and a simple priest who is ready to live for others.
Newswatch has put together some of the things people have been saying about him on facebook. Enjoy.
"He is a simple and yet phenomenal priest. He loves everyone and goes more than out of his way to be there for everyone and to make everyone happy. Right from Pope John when i have known him he has been deeply spiritual and in love with anything about God. He is down to earth and can simply fit into any role on the football field, on the entertainment stage or in the Dining hall.
He is very young and yet extremely matured and you will only marvel at his perspective on many issues. We have called him many names. He is simply a Priest of God and a brother in the true sense of the word. - Fr. Hillary Agbenosi
"You live in Love and Love so that your life is love. You motivate many seminarians including myself even when you are absent. Beatum Natalem Diem. May God continually renew your love and zeal for ministry - Micheal Wonders Tsekpokumah
"The day is finally hear TCC 31-10-17. A very happy birthday to a servant of God. He is very humble , down to earth. I don't have much to say all I want to say is God bless u for the good works u are doing for some of us and Taifa St. Dominic keep doing the good work and God bless you. Amen" - Patrick Richman Boakye

We love you so much and you know it, Happy Happy Happy Birthday Rev. Fr. Teresa Cross Codjoe aka twa me smoke, aka sargent lee aka waakye distin. Nyame nyira wo bebereee." - Nyamekye Nyasunu
"Happy birthday Fr. Teresa Cross Codjoe. I met you some eleven years ago and I have loved every moment. I have been blessed by your words and examples." - Joseph Nyarko Asare
"I find it extremely difficult to describe a brother, friend and colleague priest as he celebrates his birthday. I know many are happy for him. I am too and even more than happy.
Fr. Teresa Cross Codjoe as he is known in the media landscape, was once Christened Matthias in his formative days at Pope John Senior High And Junior Seminary. His body mass and stature in those days, made him and his parishioner/cohort , Fr. DUKU (JONES ) , the toast of big boys in form three of the Pope John House. His humility, sense of humour, dancing prowess each time (Fr. Jones )was at his best at drumming, love for waakye, passion for spiritual things and sportsmanship were unrivalled and unparalleled.
He grew up and became the student chaplain of this enviable school of excellence. After a period of three years, we met again at St. Paul's Catholic Seminary, Sowutuom.
There, he won the hearts of all and sundry as a "professional" boxer of the heavyweight division. Just like a boxer in Ghana who has lost more fights than he has won, our celebrating hero, lost all his fights to less fancied opponents of lower divisions.
The comic associated with those fights was beyond compare. No comedian could ever equal his feat. Later, we had CCR ITI at UEW and there he was in the thick of events doing exorcism of a young puella and frosh. He succeeded in his mission not for Christ by then , but for himself.
I, together with another serious "that one" like himself, called "Man" laughed our hearts out. In ST. PETER'S REGIONAL SEMINAR-PEDU,TCC as always was studious, hard working, passionate, friendly, a team player, caring , translated his ability to cram pages off head into mimicking personalities with apt and precision and now is a priest of God with a saintly character.
When some (at least one) priests due to bitterness and painful experiences they may have had at a point in time, were reported to have said, they wouldn't want to pass where sign posts of seminaries are fixed let alone enter to be trained and formed as priests, he is willing to remain a Catholic and a PRIEST.
Just like Matthias of the Acts of the Apostles, the lot will always fall on you. From being chaplain at PJ to sports pee 1, "exault, let them exault the hosts of heaven", boxer 1, coach of his twin sons( Pojoba Senam Karage and Senanu Derrick Eyram) , NUGDPA, SECAM (CLASS LEVEL-CREAMBOYZ ) DAKAR, ARCHBISHOP ANDOH'S SPECIAL DRIVER and a good driver in truth, and wanting to become all things (Alhaji because of meat and waakye) so that he can win at least some not for himself but for Christ. In all sincerity and truth, TCC defiles every description and definition.
Simplicity, intelligence, sense of humour, dancing, acting, man of prayer, etc. are his attributes. Have a waakye and rice-filled birthday celebration. May the Ever Blessed Virgin and Mother Mary, be HIS help. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" - Felix Awaitey Formedza
When I lost almost 6000 cedis due to petty 'avoidable editorial mistakes' before my book launch and it took people like you and Fr Hillary to give me hope to move on.
Why won't I celebrate you when it looks as if I have known you since infancy but in actual fact I didn't even know you personally when you were ordained. It tells me you don't take relationships for granted.
Why won't I celebrate you when I believe our son was conceived spiritually at that all-night at Legon. No wonder I named him after you
Why won't I celebrate you when it became scary for Cherry at the labour ward you kept us in prayer and you even came to the Hospital that same day
Why won't I celebrate you when you graced our wedding with your presence when I didn't even know you that much in those days
Why won't I celebrate you when you had to cancel an appointment to be at Emma's naming ceremony and accepted to be his godfather and to be named after you
Why won't I celebrate you when my ministry became what it is today in the church because I associated with people like you
Why won't I celebrate you when you barely want to receive any gift from me but you always bless my family financially anytime you meet us?
Why won't I celebrate you when you take me home anytime we close from Crusades, revivals and other programmes
Why won't I celebrate you when you rebuke, correct and encourage me in love anytime I err
Why wont I celebrate you when you and Fr Hillary take the blame and punches anytime I release a bomb... Oh Charlie never again oo
Why won't I celebrate you when you make we the lay ministers feel loved and appreciated anytime we are around you
Why won't I celebrate you when you have and continue to affirm God's calling on my life every now and then
Why won't I celebrate you when you are a CHIEF CELEBRATER yourself...lol
Why won't I celebrate when you make us feel so welcomed around you that sometimes we even forget you are a priest
WHY WON'T I CELEBRATE YOU?Hmmmmmm I can go on and on saaaaaa. You are God-sent and we will celebrate you as such. For all these and the many testimonies about you we say TO GOD BE THE GLORY. IT IS THE LORD INDEED. MAY YOU LIVE LONG Onua Cross" - Peter Owusu Ansah.
"A Generous Man. You know why l say this. Father Codjoe ,may Jesus the wisdom, image and the final revelation of the love of God bless you and may the Saints and the blessed virgin Mary the arch of the Divine covenant pray for you now and at the hour of your death.... as you celebrate your birthday...Amen" - Danso Emmanuel
"Happy birthday to you our dear Venerable Emmanuel Teresa Cross Cudjoe. We celebrate a real and true brother in this beautiful fraternity.
A man of God who is so balanced with a forthright way of life. Amiable and docile, hard working and selfless. Dedicated and zealous. A spiritual "bulldozer". One who looks beyond himself. You believe that if it must be done, it must be done well. Very intelligent yet SO HUMBLE. One who feels uncomfortable when his laurels are mentioned.
A simple, humble man of God. You always celebrate others. It is time for us to celebrate you, dear friend and brother.
May your faith grow in leaps and bounds. May the seven seals of the Holy Spirit rest on you. We solicit the maternal intercession of our dear Blessed Virgin Mary for you. You are highly loved, treasured and cherished. The sky shouldn't be your limit but remember a modicum of comfort is also good for the soul.
Have a blast and remain a potent instrument in the vineyard of God.
FR. TERESA CROSS, I LOVE YOU. - FR. PETER HESSE
